When we published 100 Things to Do in Charleston Before You Die with Reedy Press back in 2018, as part of their bestselling “100 Things” series, we had no idea what a big hit it would be in the Lowcountry and beyond. Its success led to Reedy Press asking us to write 100 Things to Do in Savannah Before You Die, which was officially released on March 1st.

The nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center invites writers to an exclusive retreat weekend at the historic Anchorage 1770 Inn (1103 Bay St.) in the heart of beautiful Beaufort by the sea. Participating writers will immerse themselves in a collaborative experience with our distinguished faculty of award-winning writers and publishing professionals as they share their insights and experiences in the same generous mentoring spirit as the late Pat Conroy.

The Pat Conroy Literary Center Book Club has been reading and discussing all twelve of Conroy's memoirs and novels in order of publication. Led by a guest discussion leader, these monthly gatherings are free and open to the public.
Former Beaufortonian and new author Becky Young Miller recently published her first book, Transplanting Hope: A Journey Through Pain, Addiction, and the Miracle of a Rare Surgical Procedure. Miller’s inspiring memoir chronicles her experience with unbearable pain, many waiting rooms and fruitless appointments, devastating losses, recovery, faith, and hope.
The Friends of the Beaufort Library have announced the 2020 schedule for their popular 8-week annual Books Sandwiched In series, featuring book talks by local personalities to provoke interest in books: both fiction and non-fiction. After each talk presenters will welcome questions.
