I have been invited to a Summer dinner party – fancy, twelve piece place settings and the entire hullabaloo that goes along with a major sit down dinner. Dining will be held inside, leading to dancing on the terrace afterward.
This hot weather and I are just “mutual friends” and really don’t get along that well. Could you give me some suggestions on what to wear? I want to be fashionable but comfortable too! Help!
Since the end of the world did not take place this past May 21st, as predicted by the false prophet Harold Camping, we now have another shot at getting our fashion on and another chance at getting it right – both for our eternal souls and our eternal fashion statements!
I am sure everybody on the planet heard about this man and his erroneous beliefs that held a good majority of believing Christians and others by the short hairs regarding Jesus’ Second Coming. Crazy Harold now says it will happen later in the year! Oh, Harold, we hardly knew ye!
You are famous in Columbus! Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Hilton Head, and I think your area is lovely. While vacationing, at poolside, I read your column in the Lowcountry Weekly. You’re a hoot! I brought the paper home and now all my girlfriends and I have an “Ask FASHIONGRANNY” discussion every month, as we can access you online and really, any excuse will do for us to get together! I have a question. I am planning to come back this Fall and want to know what to pack. Can you help me? Thanks in advance; keep on writing and we’ll keep on reading!
It is said, “As you get older, when you look down you will see your Mother’s hands sticking out of your sleeve.” I look down and see my Father’s hands sticking out of my sleeve! I’m not really complaining, and I’m glad to have hands, but I do need help in improving the look of my hands and nails. Will certain colors of polish detract from my “Father’s hands“? Help!
May I still invest in Animal Prints or are they passé?
Signed,
Boo Boo Kitty
Dear Boo Boo,
May I call you Boo Boo or do you prefer Miss Kitty? What a great name!
Animal prints just will not die and there is a good reason for it. Wearing the skins of animals has been a mainstay ever since we were kicked out of the Garden of Eden!
